Public School Employees (PSE) Chapter 829 of Western Washington University is pleased to announce that Riley Gallagher, Gwyndolyn James, Shar Sarte Prince and Jamie Schelinski are the 2012-2013 recipients of the PSE Chapter 829 Scholarship.
- Riley Gallagher, son of Cindy Jean Gallagher (Mount Lake Terrace School District) has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship and will enter WWU as a freshman this fall to study elementary education.
- Gwyndolyn James, daughter of Steve James (Engineering Technician Lead, Engineering Technology) has been awarded a $500 scholarship and will complete her senior year at San Diego State, graduating with a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management in 2013.
- Shar Sarte Prince (Program Manager A, Special Education) has been awarded a $500 scholarship and will attend the summer institute “Building Capacity for Educational Equity and Organizational Change” at WWU.
- Jamie Schelinski, daughter of Dawn Childs (Information Technology Specialist 3, Telecommunications Services) has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship and will continue her studies towards an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts at Bellingham Technical College.
