PSE of WWU scholarship winners announced!

Public School Employees (PSE) Chapter 829 of Western Washington University is pleased to announce that Riley Gallagher, Gwyndolyn James, Shar Sarte Prince and Jamie Schelinski are the 2012-2013 recipients of the PSE Chapter 829 Scholarship.

  • Riley Gallagher, son of Cindy Jean Gallagher (Mount Lake Terrace School District) has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship and will enter WWU as a freshman this fall to study elementary education.
  • Gwyndolyn James, daughter of Steve James (Engineering Technician Lead, Engineering Technology) has been awarded a $500 scholarship and will complete her senior year at San Diego State, graduating with a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management in 2013.
  • Shar Sarte Prince (Program Manager A, Special Education) has been awarded a $500 scholarship and will attend the summer institute “Building Capacity for Educational Equity and Organizational Change” at WWU.
  • Jamie Schelinski, daughter of Dawn Childs (Information Technology Specialist 3, Telecommunications Services) has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship and will continue her studies towards an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts at Bellingham Technical College.
