PSE of WWU

After 9 bargaining sessions, PSE has reached tentative agreement on all but the following articles:

Article 17 - Holidays
Article 25 - Compensation
Article 26 - Health Insurance (decided at the coalition table)
Article 32 - Reduction in Force
Article 38 - Job Contracting
Article 42 - Parking & Transportation
Article 49 - Strike/No Lockout

In the attempt to reach an agreement before the October 1 deadline, PSE declared impasse and requested that a mediator from the Public Employee's Relations Commission (PERC) be appointed. We (PSE & WWU) have attempted to set a date for a mediation bargaining session and PERC has not been available. Because of PERC's unavailability we are not able to hold a session before the October 1 deadline. (But we tried.)
